Bikes and Tours

Bikes

We supply you with a high quality touring bike with suspension seat post - for an extra comfortable ride - and 27 gears to make things as easy as possible.

It’s fitted with a clip-on front handlebar bag for you to store what you want to take with you for the day – sun cream, camera, drink - and has a map pocket on top.

We’ll also give you a water bottle, pump and lock. A spare inner tube and basic tools are also provided – although we will always be nearby in the backup bus to do repairs if required.

Helmets are not compulsory in France and we don't supply them, so if you definitely prefer to wear one you will need to bring your own.

Bike with sunflowers

We spend time on your first day making sure you are allocated a bike that fits you well - we have a choice of sizes and saddles - so that you will be comfortable throughout your stay.

Daglan market

We suggest places to stop along the route – for sight-seeing, a refreshing drink and lunch.
We follow you up on all the tours in our backup bus to check that everything is ok and sort out any problems.
And of course you can always jump on board if you want a break!

Tours

We have mapped a series of tours designed to let you get close to the real France by exploring lovely local countryside, pretty, sleepy villages and the breathtaking, winding Lot river valley.

We give you extremely detailed maps and guidelines so that you can easily follow the routes.

Albas

Our tours take in interesting historic sites and visits to some of the nearby pretty bastide towns with their panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The Lot River itself winds gently back and forth like a serpentine, and so gives cyclists a variety of excellent vistas as you meander along its banks.

Winding River Lot

Each day we offer a round trip of between 20 and 35 miles (35 -60 kilometers) or about 5 hours leisurely cycling each day.
You will almost always be riding along quiet, virtually traffic-free roads and the terrain is mostly gently undulating with a few more challenging climbs here and there.

Cazals

Easier and harder options are included on each route so that you can select according to your level of cycling ability.
Although none of the routes is difficult, they all contain occasional, moderate climbs so you do need to be reasonably fit and healthy to be able to complete them comfortably.
